Thanksgiving and the Christmas Festival and LOTS of PICTURES!

Sorry this is forever long, but I had tons of pics from Thanksgiving, the shower, and the Christmas Festival. They are also in really random order. It took me forever to narrow them down to these. Hope you dont mind! (Can you see her flexed arm and profile above?)
Well, Thanksgiving was GREAT!!!! We were able to spend over a week at home, which gave us plenty of time to hang out with family and friends. Much better than the three days we usually get...which is helpful since we now live on the other side of the world it seems. Although it was wonderful to be home, I couldn't wait to get back and fix up the nursery with all of our new things from the shower Donald's family gave us. We got so much we brought back a small trailer! Mainly because we were given lots of gear and the changing table, which are all very bulky. As soon as we arrived I went into nesting overdrive and put together the swing, bouncer, travel system, and pack n play..... And then I slept for two days :) I also had a doctors appt when we got back. She now weighs 5 lbs and my due date was moved back to January 15 since I'm still measuring a little small...according to them. I definitely don't feel like I'm measuring small. Anyway, can you tell we are ready for her to get here!?
Also, when we got back to LA all of the Christmas lights for the festival were up. Eventhough it's small its pretty amazing at how much work they put into the festival. My pictures aren't great, but they give you a pretty good idea of what the riverbank looks like for the month of December here. Did I mention we had 250,000 visitiors to view these lights over the weekend? This is in a town of about 20, 000. Doesn't Chattanooga have about 250,000 people in the entire city? Needless to say it was nuts!

Okay, I guess I need to stop writing. Sorry there are so many pictures...I'm a little obsessed. Make sure you find the pic of me and my dad comparing belly sizes....

31 weeks Preggo!

I have no idea why my stomach looks so different when it's covered. I'm 31 weeks going on 50 it seems! I'm so ready for her to get here I can't take it! I really feel like I have been pregnant for a year now! Things are going really well and we can't wait to come in for Thanksgiving! Not only do we get to see friends and family and eat, but I have another shower!! YAY! We have more than enough clothes so I'm hoping to get a few necessities...like my stroller :) Hint, hint (jk) Right now we are really preoccupied with what her name will be. Emery has worn off and now we like Carson, Ainsley, Fallon, and Elle (short for Elizabeth). I can't decide and it seems we have a new name every week...oh wait, we do. If y'all have any ideas let me know, please! I also went to the doctor last week, for a general check-up. The heartbeat sounded good and strong and when I asked if he could check her position he said, let's just do an ultrasound since you haven't seen her in a while! I was so excited. Unfortunately the only clear shot we could get was of her feet, but it was still pretty cool.

Nothing new has really happened since my last post..other than Halloween. I wish I would've taken a picture of the house down the street. These people went all out and totally converted their garage into Dracula's cave complete with an elevated coffin and smoke from dry ice. It was pretty impressive. Although, most of the kids were to scared to go down that far so our house was the last stop....lucky us. We ran out of candy about halfway through the night and Donald decided to give away my lastest craving---doughnuts! Yep, you heard me. So needless to say me and a friend ran to the store for candy and my doughnuts while he held down the fort. I was also forced to watch Halloween H2O. For those of you that know me well you know I hate horror movies....can we say paranoid?! But, it was fun and I can't wait to go next year with my daughter! (I'm still not used to saying that)

The pics I posted are of me at 28 weeks, so they are a few weeks old. I am definitely growing by the minute and will have to get more maternity clothes to carry me through these last two months. I will also try to post the picture of her feet as soon as I can.

Nesting at 7 months

Is it too early to begin this process? I have been waking up around 12am and staying up until 3am cleaning! What the heck?! Please tell me if anyone else experiences this... If you know me well, then you know that I straighten and hit the high points about once a month, but hardly ever deep clean. I can't get enough these days---but our house looks pretty good, so I can't complain too much. I plan on posting before and after pics of the nursery eventually so you can see where I've been spending most nights cleaning. :)
More to come...

Baby Showers

Last weekend was my first two baby showers...on the same day.... and my first trip home since moving to Natchitoches...a.k.a..."East Bumble." Donald and I were able to spend lots of time with our best friends and family--Donald also spent a lot of time in the woods as usual. It was SO great to see everyone and look at all the cute things Emery will get wear and play with! I have no idea how we fit it all into one vehicle! Thanks to everyone again for being so generous and thoughtful!
It looks like our next trip home will be at Thanksgiving and we get to spend an entire week eating and relaxing! (my favorite things to do these days) Jennifer and I have an after Thanksgiving Day shopping tradition that I may have to break this year since I will be about 34 weeks pregnant :( I think she'll forgive me as long as we keep it going next year.

More pics to come...
